About Me
Hi, I’m Evonna, a 22-year veteran educator, learning specialist, executive function, and literacy coach. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all ages and abilities, from high school through college, and with families across the country, including high-profile and celebrity households.
When I’m not teaching and coaching, you’ll find me exploring new ideas in education, enjoying soulful self-care, or hunting for unique finds at estate sales.
Philosophy
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to education. Every student learns differently, and that truth has guided my entire career. I’ve dedicated myself to understanding how to support learners with a wide range of abilities, strengths, and challenges.
At the core of my work is the belief that every learner can grow when given the right support, systems, and mindset. I combine research-based methods with a compassionate, personalized approach to ensure families and students feel not only supported, but empowered.
Professional Credentials
I am certified in both Georgia and California, with a specialization in gifted education, and I hold advanced training in the Orton-Gillingham and Barton Reading systems for dyslexia intervention. Alongside literacy support, I’ve developed a comprehensive executive functioning curriculum, S.T.E.P.S., that helps students who struggle with organization, focus, and time management gain practical tools for daily success.
Passion
My passion lies in supporting high-achieving and gifted learners, and those with twice-exceptional (2e) profiles who sometimes feel overwhelmed by the systems around them. Whether it’s a high schooler building confidence, a college student navigating independence, or an adult learning to manage executive functioning challenges in daily life, I provide personalized strategies that help people thrive academically, emotionally, and mentally.
